Crown Down: The Glorious Overthrow of Me A Bible Study of Matthew 5-7 Jesus' Sermon on the Mount

I don’t know about you, but my life is my “realm", where I make attentive decisions that serve the needs of my highness, me. As promising and satisfying as it may sound, it really hasn’t delivered. I must admit that I am a dismal monarch, ruling a desperately dysfunctional land. My “Crown” is not working for me. And if I were to ask you the same question about your “kingdom” or “queendom”, I imagine it is not exactly thriving either. Thankfully, there is good news, the Good News: The Kingdom of God is at hand. It is here, it is now, and it will gloriously overthrow the kingdoms of “you” and “me”.

In addition to becoming what we ought to be, we will become who we ultimately long to be. By taking His life into ours, we are given the opportunity to live within the surrounding movements of God’s eternal purposes.

Count me in!  How about you?  (9 week study, 5 day format)

Windows and Doors:

Kingdom Insight and Entrances from the Parables of Jesus

Like light streaming in, Jesus’ parables invite us to peer into a different world. A fascinating world not unlike the world we know, yet at the same time radically unlike it. Through unlikely comparisons and unlikely outcomes, Jesus’ parables – then and now – are intended to shock and stimulate us into active exploration of their meanings.  Entering in, we are compelled to find the truth, to fill in the gaps, to envision the possibilities, to risk it all, to participate in His Kingdom come.  (10 week study, 5 day format)

Saying YES: When Love and Life Collide

A Bible Study of the Gospels and the Women Jesus Changed

All great adventures begin with a simple three-letter word: Yes. Whether a casual nod to a coffee date with a new friend, a sober agreement to a job transfer or an emotion-packed acceptance to a marriage proposal, saying “yes” has largely determined where we find ourselves today. However, before we can say “yes,” a question or opportunity must first be offered to us. As we study the Gospels together, we will see Jesus offering women the opportunity to experience His LOVE that collides with everyday life. We will see how their “yes” to Him changed their lives forever. As we  come together around His Word, we will see that God is   taking the initiative with us also: to enter into our everyday lives and invite us to experience the life and love  for which we have been created. Won’t you say “yes” to this adventure? (10 week study, five day format)

Rerouting: Finding and Following the Soul’s GPS.  A Bible Study from Proverbs.

As children, whether we are choosing Popsicle flavors or “best friends,” there is little concern about where our decisions might lead. But then, as we journey through childhood and adolescence, something changes. We begin to understand that our decisions can take us down unfriendly and dangerous paths that often end in destruction and sorrow. As we move into adulthood, with a destination of safety and joy in mind, it is likely we finally find ourselves in need of good directions.  If you are here, knowing you need to ask for directions to navigate this life, then you are ready to open the book of Proverbs. In this book you will find clear and often concise counsel, addressing every conceivable area of life.  Most importantly, you will find the Living God, the One who created you and purposefully placed you in the life you now live—with all its beauty and challenges. (11 week study, 5 day format)

The End… Ever Living for the Everlasting.

A Bible Study in the Book of Daniel

The Book of Daniel is not just incredible, fantastic chapters filled with fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes and miracles that keep us on the edge of our seat. It is so much more! Daniel is a love story.  A story about the passionate and pure love of God woven throughout the past, present, and future...the only love that can satisfy our longing to know who we are, where we came from and where we are going. It is not only a book about True Love, but an invitation to  enter into relationship with the everlasting King.  (9 week study, 5 day format)

MORE: Experiencing Far More.

A Bible Study on the Book of Ephesians

“I want more for you.”  Either from a parent, a teacher, a coach and/or a mentor, it is likely we were on the receiving end of this phrase in our early years.  Whether or not we realize it, this saying usually communicated a genuine interest in us and more importantly, a recognition of our potential. From the Bible we learn of the One True God, whose interest in His people is unmatched by even the most loving parent , teacher, coach or mentor.  And, as our all-knowing Creator, He is able to see clearly our potential and what we could, or should, be experiencing as His children.  As we study Ephesians together, we will hear our loving and perfect Father say: “I want more for you.  I have made a way for you to experience what could and even should be: an unimaginable life.” (10 week study, 5 day format)
